Assistant Recreation Manager – Golf Business Coordinator

The City of Lincoln Parks & Recreation is seeking qualified applicants for its Golf Business Coordinator position. The person in this position will be an integral member of the golf administration team, and will oversee business operations and marketing and promotion efforts. The Golf Business Coordinator will oversee contracts with four contracted golf professionals, as well as contracts with vendors for providing services to the Lincoln City Golf program. The Golf Business coordinator will be responsible for development of the annual plan and goals for the program, and will work with the Lincoln Municipal Golf Advisory Committee, local golf organizations and the golf patrons.

Golf PGM Teaching Internship – Intermediate Level Worker
A special internship for college students aspiring to be PGA Professional Managers.
Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department is currently seeking three (3) energetic, self-driven Professional Golf Management students enrolled at UNL to be interns to assist with golf instruction at the Lincoln City Golf Courses. This is a wonderful paid opportunity to be involved in the growing area of golf instruction in the city.
Interns will gain valuable experience teaching golf camps, clinics, and get golf ready programs to adults and juniors of different skill levels. Position will include coaching team golf, assisting in daily operations and helping grow the business of teaching and player development for the City Golf Courses. 70% of your time will be spent teaching golf in this position. 30% of your time will be spent working at the clubhouse area at Jim Ager Golf Course. Candidate must be motivated and able to help promote different programs as well as carry out the ones already in place.
Internship Dates: May – Aug 2017 (potential to start working part time in early March). Up to 30 hours a week; varies Monday thru Sunday.
Applicants must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Teaching experience a plus but not necessary.

• Enrolled into PGM program at UNL.
• Able to bend, kneel, or crouch periodically.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time on range.
